Refrigeration Operator
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Operate facility in accordance with company standards.
- Walk the catwalks and hallways and make sure nothing is wrong with the equipment.
- Be frequently on call.
- Be willing and able to respond to plant dialers when called.
- Monitor the water treatment chemicals as needed.
- Communicate with the supervisor on necessary setpoint changes.
Education & Experience:
- Knowledge of Refrigeration systems.
- RETA Certification preferred but not required.
- Technical School Degree a plus.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Drug test & background check required
Certificates & Licenses:
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required)
Equipment/Technology Skills:
- Experience working with industry equipment including ammonia screw compressors, BPR’s, liquid valves, condensers, pump.
- Ability to maintain CA logs.
- Ability to maintain Machine room and compressor logs as it maintains to Mechanical Integrity.
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to frequently perform various activities that require; sitting, standing, walking, pulling/pushing objects, climbing, grasp & reach.
- Must have good vision, smell and hearing
- Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements
- Ability to occasionally lift 40 lbs. from floor/ shoulder level

- Ability to adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events in the work environment; ability to manage competing demands and prioritize tasks; ability to change approach or method to best fit the situation

Shipping Supervisor
SUMMARY
Direct supervision of Manson Shipping Department, including supervision of personnel, monitoring of work area(s), ensuring workplace safety, and ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely shipment of product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to access and respond quickly to the demands of shipping in a professional and effective manner.
- Ensure that products to be shipped are available, inspected and staged to ensure a quick turnaround.
- Reinforcement of health and safety practices to all shipping personnel.
- Coordinating task to keep the crew fully engaged with their work for greater efficiency.
- Ensure that all loads are properly inspected, stamped, and stickered so that orders are safely and accurately loaded.
- Manage and implement the first in and first out to reduce aged fruit and maximize fruit quality and delivery.
- Ensure orders are properly staged and shipped as ordered.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the shipping crew, clerk, truck drivers, and sales.
- Maintain high morale and continue to build a team atmosphere.
- Responsible for a clean and safe work environment for both staff and customers.
- The ability to troubleshoot issues with orders and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Ability to fully collaborate with other departments and assist to the needs of the business.
- Adherence to all attendance requirements, standards of conduct, and employment rules and procedures relating to this position and to employment in general at Trout-Blue Chelan-Magi, Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Prefer 2 years or more of proven successful experience as a supervisor in a high-volume shipping department.
- Extensive experience with forklifts (including forklift safety)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
In English, must possess the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate with peers, sales staff, and truck drivers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Strong reasoning, supervisory, organizational, computer, and interpersonal relations skills.
OTHER USEFFUL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS
- General knowledge of fruit industry
- Previous experience with inventory/pallet tickets/shipping a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) a plus
